Opening Thursday November 24th, 2016, h. 6.30 p.m.

The Biagiotti Progetto Arte Foundation is pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition Ecosistemi, curated by Carlotta Mazzoli and Silvia Bellotti and with the patronage of the city of Florence.

Ecosistemi stems from the desire of the Biagiotti Progetto Arte Foundation to raise people’s awareness and help them to reflect on the state of our planet and what we can do as responsible citizens. During the period of the exhibition there will be a series of in-depth conferences on these topics. The exhibition and conferences will deal with key issues of our times, such as waste reduction, recycling, environmental sustainability and the relationship between Man and Nature. The exhibition aims to inspire people in a positive way, helping them to discover nature’s miraculous plan and its generosity towards man. The Foundation’s desire is that visitors leave the gallery full of ideas, constructive information and the desire to do their part for our city and for the Planet.

Through the works of eight international artists – Calixto Ramirez (Mexico / Italy), Mandy Barker (UK), Miz Nakaishi (Japan), Paola Romoli Venturi (Italy), Peter Caton (UK), Richard Stellini (Italy), Simafra (Italy), Victoria Deblassie (USA / Italy) – the exhibition will lead the visitors along a path that winds through different views, information and ideas, where every space is designed as a small world to explore.

The collective is therefore created as a succession of eight small solo exhibitions, eight worlds that interact to form one big picture. Exactly like ecosystems in nature, these microcosms exist individually and maintain a balance only through the mutual exchange of matter and energy, drawing a dense network where each wire is connected to another.
